The Punjab caretaker government has taken a major step forward by launching an online Online Application for Drving Learner License in Punjab. This initiative strives to enhance convenience for the public while streamlining the licensing process, recognizing the significant volume of individuals seeking to acquire licenses.
Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, at the helm of the initiative, inaugurated the online service. Naqvi highlighted its accessibility, stating that citizens can easily apply through the Punjab Police app or visit any of the 737 police stations and Khidmat Marakiz spread across Punjab.
Online Application for Drving Learner License in Punjab Simple Steps:
1. Set up an account on the DLIMS licensing website.
2. Complete the application form.
3. Upload the necessary documents.
4. Generate a payment slip ID and proceed with payment through ATM, online banking, or mobile banking channels.
The required documents for the online learner driving licenses application include:
1- Applicant’s photograph.
2- Scanned copy/picture of both sides of the original CNIC.
3- A government doctor-signed medical certificate for individuals above 50 years of age.
Previously, the provincial cabinet had sanctioned a substantial increase in the learner’s driving license fees, soaring from Rs. 60 to Rs. 1000, marking a staggering 1566% rise. However, citizens have the opportunity to acquire licenses at the existing rate until December 31. Come January 1, 2024, a revised fee structure will come into effect.
