The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has affirmed that the deadline for filing tax returns, initially set on September 30, will not be extended. Nevertheless, individuals can request a 15-day extension from the relevant commissioner by submitting a prior application. FBR officials report that over 1.7 million tax returns have been submitted, and the total is anticipated to exceed Rs 2 million by the end of September.
