Indus Motor Company (IMC) has announced the impending launch of the Corolla Cross Hybrid Features Price Specifications, its inaugural locally assembled hybrid electric vehicle (HEV).
The grand revelation of the locally crafted Corolla Cross Hybrid took place during a momentous line-off ceremony in Karachi. Esteemed figures from Toyota and government officials graced the occasion with their presence.
Expressing gratitude at the ceremony, Chairman of IMC, Mohamedali R. Habib, extended heartfelt thanks to all stakeholders for their unwavering support. He underscored the significance of this milestone, emphasizing the enduring camaraderie between Japan and Pakistan.
Yoshiyuki Takai, President of Toyota’s Emerging-market Compact Car Company and Executive Vice President of Toyota Daihatsu Engineering and Manufacturing, highlighted the burgeoning preference for HEVs among consumers across Asian nations. He expressed the company’s optimism, anticipating that Pakistani customers would embrace the Corolla Cross HEV, finding it as alluring, efficient, and exhilarating as its reception in other global markets.
Asad Rehman Gilani, Federal Secretary of the Ministry of Industries and Production, extended congratulations to Toyota for achieving this significant milestone. Gilani reiterated the government’s steadfast commitment to supporting the auto sector’s strides in integrating hybrid and electric technologies into Pakistan’s automotive landscape.
Moreover, Gilani stressed the imperative nature of expediting exports, citing its pivotal role in mitigating the trade deficit.
Ali Asghar Jamali, the Chief Executive Officer of IMC, divulged that the Corolla Cross would feature an 1800cc engine, offering consumers the choice between hybrid and gasoline drivetrains. The vehicle will be available in variations encompassing both low and high-grade models.
While the car was unveiled at the ceremony, IMC has refrained from disclosing details regarding its availability or pricing. Despite a recent viral letter speculating on its launch and price, the company has officially debunked this information.
