Caretaker Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Murtaza Solangi, stated on Thursday that the notification about 5000 currency note Pakistan ban is totally fake and fraud.
The letter has incorrect information, suggesting that the government is planning to implement a ban on the use, possession, and circulation of Rs5,000 currency notes across the country, starting from September 30, 2023.
However, the Finance Division promptly issued a statement to refute this claim, categorizing the letter as “false information.” In their brief statement, the Finance Division clarified, “There is a deceptive notification circulating on social media regarding the alleged ban on the circulation of Rs5,000 currency notes effective September 30, 2023.
We wish to inform the general public that this information is totally wrong and fake. There has been no official policy decision or action taken to prohibit the circulation of Rs5,000 currency notes, and they remain entirely valid for use.”
