WhatsApp Secret Code for Chat Lock

WhatsApp Secret Code for Chat Lock

Latest WhatsApp Secret Code for Chat Lock feature has introduced for users to protect and secure their chats with device’s password or biometric authentication, such as a fingerprint.

In the month of May WhatsApp introduced a fresh Chat Lock feature enabling users to safeguard their conversations using their device’s password or biometric identification, like a fingerprint. This functionality discreetly tucks away sensitive chats within a dedicated “Locked chats” folder on the chat list. Expanding its security measures, WhatsApp has now introduced the Secret Code for Chat Lock an added layer of privacy.

The Secret Code feature empowers users to create a distinct password, separate from their device’s credentials, to conceal the locked chats folder entirely from the main chat list. Access to this folder becomes exclusive, requiring the entry of the secret code into WhatsApp’s search bar.

Users have the freedom to craft their unique code using a mix of letters, numbers, special characters, or even emojis. Moreover, for those who prefer transparency with their locked chats, there remains the option to keep them visible in the chat list.

WhatsApp has simplified the chat security process, making it more intuitive. Now, locking a chat is as easy as a long-press, eliminating the need to navigate through the chat’s settings.

The deployment of the Secret Code feature has begun and is expected to roll out to all users worldwide over the next few months.
