Next pandemic disease x symptoms, treatment, precautions and Kate Bingham report.
Disease X Panademic Kate Bingham report health expert United Kingdom. Disease X Panademic could be 20 times deadlier than COVID-19 and devastating as the 1918-1920 Spanish Flu outbreak.
According to a health expert from the United Kingdom there is a big risk of another pandemic arising from what the World Health Organization (WHO) calls Disease X. This expert, Kate Bingham, formerly the chair of the UK’s vaccine taskforce, has issued a stark warning. She believes that Disease X panademic could be as devastating as the 1918-1920 Spanish Flu outbreak potentially claiming at least 50 million lives, as reported by the Daily Mail. Bingham also expressed concerns that this virus could be 20 times deadlier than COVID-19, envisioning it as highly infectious like measles with the lethality of Ebola.
During the Ebola outbreak the fatality rate was around 67 percent and she drew parallels with other serious infectious diseases like bird flu and MERS that affected a significant number of people. Bingham emphasized that somewhere in the world, Disease X is likely replicating, and it’s only a matter of time before someone falls ill.
Furthermore Bingham highlighted that scientists have identified 25 virus families but there’s a significant probability of more than one million unidentified variants. The World Health Organization (WHO) has officially recognized Disease X as a global health challenge, categorizing it as a bacterium or fungus with no current treatment available.
In response to this alarming threat scientists from the UK are dedicating their efforts to developing a vaccine for this potentially deadly pathogen.
