Pakistan is gearing up for its inaugural appearance at the prestigious ‘Miss Universe’ pageant, where five talented Pakistani beauty queens are competing for the opportunity to represent their nation.
Out of a pool of over 200 candidates, the organizers have revealed the top 5 finalists for the Miss Universe Pakistan 2023 competition.
These finalists consist of Erica Rabin hailing from Karachi, Hira Inam representing Lahore, Jessica Wilson from Rawalpindi, Malika Alvi, originally from Pakistan but now representing Pennsylvania, and Sabrina from Punjab.
Recently, these aspiring beauty queens participated in a captivating photoshoot set against the picturesque backdrop of the Maldives. They showcased exquisite outfits designed by Furne One, a Filipino fashion designer known for his Amato label based in Dubai.
Among these remarkable women, one will be crowned as Miss Universe Pakistan, earning the prestigious opportunity to represent Pakistan on the global stage at the international ‘Miss Universe’ pageant scheduled to take place in El Salvador this November.
The coronation event for Miss Universe Pakistan is scheduled for Thursday and will be broadcast on the Miss Universe YouTube channel. Celebrating its 72nd year, Miss Universe remains one of the longest-standing and most-watched beauty pageants globally.
Josh Yugen, the national director of Miss Universe Pakistan, remarked, “For the very first time in the history of this monumental competition, a powerful woman will proudly bear the name of Pakistan on her heart. Furthermore, she will carry with her the compelling narratives of over 210 million Pakistanis from around the world.”
Yugen’s company, Yugen Group, based in Dubai, also holds the franchise rights for Miss Universe Bahrain and Miss Universe Egypt. Over 60 countries have already designated their representatives for Miss Universe 2023, and a month-long series of events will culminate in a glamorous finale on November 18, where the current titleholder, R’Bonney Gabriel from the US, will pass on her crown.
