At the G-20 leaders’ meeting in India on Saturday, a deal was made between the EU and seven countries. They agreed to build a route that connects Europe, the Middle East, and India using trains and ships called India Middle East Europe Economic Corridor.

India, the US, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, France, Germany, Italy, and the EU are working together on this big train and ship project. Their goal is to make it easier to trade, get energy, and use the internet between India, the Middle East, and Europe.

Even though the countries didn’t promise to pay money right away, they agreed to make a plan for the India-Middle East-Europe route in the next two months.

This route will have two parts: one going from India to the Middle East, and another going from the Middle East to Europe. It will go through countries like Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Israel, and the UAE, eventually reaching Europe.

This project is seen as something that will compete with China’s influence in the region. But it will also help India a lot with its plans and economy.

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, said this project would be a symbol of cooperation, new ideas, and progress for India, the Middle East, and Europe.

The President of the US, Joe Biden, said it would make it easier to trade and sell energy.

The President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, called it a “green and digital bridge” between different parts of the world.

The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, said this project would help build train tracks and other important things and create new business chances for a long time.
