Justice Qazi Faiz Isa, the senior-most judge of the Supreme Court, took the oath of office as the 29th Chief Justice of Pakistan.
Born in Quetta on October 1959, Justice Qazi Faiz Isa’s father was the late Qazi Muhammad Isa of Pashin, a leading leader of the movement for the establishment of Pakistan and a close associate of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
On August 5, 2009, Justice Qazi Faiz Isa was directly appointed as the judge of Balochistan High Court.
He was sworn in as a judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan on September 5, 2014.
Justice Qazi Faiz Isa’s tenure as the Chief Justice of Pakistan will be very short, he will retire on October 25, 2024.
